Tech festival with focus on artificial intelligence

If you are interested in artificial intelligence, you may sign up for the Digital Innovation Festival arranged by Aarhus University from April 5 to 12 with focus on some of today’s most hyped technologies including artificial intelligence.

Large countries such as China and the United States are market leaders in artificial intelligence and although Denmark may not become world leading in AI as such, we have every possibility to play a strong role in specialised niche areas.

The Danish company UNSILO is a good example of this. UNSILO has built a niche by providing discovery services and recommender systems for researchers as well as scientific articles, which outperforms Google’s service.

On April 10, there is a unique opportunity to hear the whole startup story from Mads Rydahl when gives a presentation at the Digital Innovation Festival. Mads is the co-founder of the Aarhus company, UNSILO, which currently employs 30 people of nine different nationalities. He has previously worked in Silicon Valley, among others as director of product design for Siri.com, now owned by Apple.

UNSILO provides tools for advanced text analysis, which are being used by Springer Nature and when you visit Cambridge University Press or other scientific publishers. The company is at the forefront in providing artificial intelligence solutions by use of machine learning and Natural Language Processing.

The festival offers several free workshops and a two-day conference, where you can hear about the latest technologies, such as blockchain, IoT, AR, drones and artificial intelligence and many more. The festival is organized by Department of Computer Science, School of Engineering, Department of Engineering and School of Communication and Culture at Aarhus University.
